Capital One CD Rates Update
Another bank we haven’t had a look at recently is Capital One CD rates. So we here at Best CD Rates Info went and had a look to show you what CD interest rates are doing there.
Looking for the best CD rates, we checked on all of the terms available at Capitalone CD rates and found them to be generally lower than the higher national offers available right now. Some banking institutions like Ally are showing much better money returns for highest CD rates today. For those who prefer this bank, though, Capital One CD rates are worth considering at least.
All Capitalone CD rates require a $5,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain. A 6 month term gives 0.25% annual percentage yield (APY) and CD interest rates on a 1 year term are 0.50% APY. For 18 months, the return is 1.15% APY and Capitalone CD rates for 2 year terms is 2.30% APY, which is very nationally competitive and one of the highest CD rates available for that term.
30 months gets 1.25% APY, 3 years gets 2.00% APY and CD interest rates on 4 years is 2.95% APY, which is another of the highest CD rates nationally right now for that term.
5 year terms give 2.40% APY as do 7 year terms. 10 years gets you 2.40% APY as well, so Capital One CD rates beyond four years seem kind of moot. Jumbo CD rates are the same as standard rates, so your money is no different if it’s $100,000 or more or not.
Capital One Bank is FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law.
