M&T Bank CD Rates
While we have now reviewed most of the best CD rates from the largest financial institutions in the country, there is still lots of ground to cover — especially with regional banks. Therefore, Best CD Rates Info thought we would review the CD rates from a large regional bank, namely M&T Bank. Fouded over 150 years ago, M&T Bank now has over 700 branches in the Northeast United States.
For this article, our specific focus will be M&T CD rates for M&T Bank, N.A., an affiliate of M&T Bank that does a lot of online business. When we researched CD rates at M&T Bank, we found several interesting products. Most interesting to us were the 36 month, 48 month and 60 month CDs.
M&T Bank 36 Month CD — This M&T CD has an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 4.69 percent. This CD requires a minimum deposit of $5,000. We have not seen many 3 year CDs that have this interesting a rate.
M&T Bank 48 Month CD — This CD offers an Annual Percentage Yield of 4.91 percent. This M&T Bank CD requires a minimum investment of $5,000. This is higher than the 48 month CD that we reviewed in our Washington Mutual CD Rates article, though to be fair the WaMu CD only required a deposit of $1,000.
M&T Bank 60 Month CD — This M&T Bank, N.A. CD has an Annual Percentage Yield of 5.04 percent. This certificate of deposit also requires a minimum opening deposit of $5,000. This is one of the highest CD interest rates that we have reviewed, beating even the high interest CD that we featured in our Wachovia CD Rates article.
So, if you are considering a 3 year, 4 year or 5 year CD, you will certainly want to check out these great M&T CD Rates. As always, CD rates and terms can change over time and differ depending on your region, so be sure to check out the M&T Bank, N.A. web site for further information on M&T Bank CD Rates available in your city.
