Wachovia CD Rates Review

It has been a while since we here at Best CD Rates Info took a new look at the latest Wachovia Bank CD rates available right now. So we’re going to update you with the latest in Wachovia certificate of deposit rates.

There are three specials going, currently, with the highest CD rates being a 16, 21, and 27 month term. These require a $5,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain and they have great annual percentage yields (APY). The Wachovia CD rates for these terms are:

  • 16 Month Term – 1.01% APY
  • 21 Month Term – 1.50% APY
  • 27 Month Term – 2.00% APY

For standard offers, Wachovia CD rates aren’t too bad either, when compared to the national averages. Current CD rates are fluctuating some, but for most offers, Wachovia Bank CD rates are just about average.

For a 3 month term with a minimum deposit of $1,000, the APY is 0.01% and for a 6 month term it is 0.25% APY. 9 months gives a 0.40% APY and a year gives 0.50% APY.

For 18 months, the rate is 0.60% APY and for 2 years it’s 0.70% APY. Those are, as stated, about average and the Jumbo terms for those are the same Wachovia CD rates.

Wachovia is fully FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. Current CD rates change often, so grab the highest CD rates that appeal to you quickly. Wachovia Bank CD rates are FDIC insured up to $250,000 unless the maturity date is after January 1, 2013 (per federal law).
